Hongik Courses - Spring Semester 2015

This semester I'll be teaching four different courses.

1- Freshman English

This is a general course that covers reading/writing/speaking/listening.

The midterm and final will be mostly written exams that we have prepared throughout the semester.

There will be also be group presentations as well as poster- making and whole lot of other things-

We'll have a creative interactive class

2. Public Speaking.

This is my passion and it is an incredible opportunity for you to become a more confident speaker and even just a more confident person.

You will be assessed on giving speeches. It's a high energy very physical class that you will remember for the rest of your time at university and possibly the rest of your life!

If you want to enter the speech contest, I can help you with that, too. Last semester I had four students in the contest and three of them won prizes.

3. Intermediate Conversation

This is a very interactive course and your midterm and final will involve a conversation with a partner that has been prepared in advance. We will look at listening skills, vocab, idioms, intonation/pronunciation as well as conversation strategies.

There will be a lot of talking in this class!

4. Basic English for Science Majors 1.

This is a new course that will help students in the science faculty understand English related to science subjects. There will be lots of reading, grammar and vocab work with a little discussion as well. I'm excited to be teaching this new course!
